Product Designer

Own how our products look, feel, and behave, from the first rough flow to the pixel that ships.

About the role

You will own product design end to end. The flow, the interaction, the visual language, and the state that ships. You will work directly with the engineers building it, usually in the same week. A lot of this is designing for uncertainty. AI products stream, take time, fail partway, and are sometimes wrong. Making that legible and calm instead of alarming is the interesting part.

What you will do
  • Take problems from rough flow to shipped interface, not just to a handoff file.
  • Design for streaming, latency, partial failure, and recovery. The states most tools skip.
  • Build and maintain the design system so the tenth screen costs less than the first.
  • Sit with the engineers implementing your work and resolve the last ten percent together.
  • Design the marketing surfaces too. The site, the launch, the case study.
  • Talk to people using the product and let that change what you draw.
What we look for

Portfolio over pedigree. Show us the work and the reasoning behind it.

  • Shipped product work you can walk through decision by decision.
  • Strong craft. Type, spacing, hierarchy, and motion that has a reason.
  • Systems thinking. You design components, not one-off screens.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, and happy to drop a direction that is not working.
  • You read and write enough code to know what is cheap and what is expensive.
  • You write clearly about why a design is the way it is.

A short design exercise drawn from something we are actually working on. We pay for your time on it.
